The NUAMA is Northwood’s collegiate chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) and the professional marketing organization on campus. The AMA has collegiate and professional chapters throughout the country. Members participate in a number of marketing and business-related events in the areas of community service, fundraising, internal/ external communications, professional development, membership and chapter operations.
The American Marketing Association was established in 1937. Today, it as grown to over 30,000 members across the globe. The American Marketing Association serves to connect like-minded people and foster knowledge by providing resources, tools, and training. Our Advisor

Dr. Andrew Anderson, DBA, serves as a Northwood University faculty member and advisor to the American Marketing Association. Holding a DBA in Marketing, an MBA in Management, and a BS in Marketing, his teaching focuses on practical, collaborative learning to prepare students for real-world business challenges. Dr. Anderson specializes in social media marketing, branding, and sales management. His publications include “Decreasing Voluntary Turnover in the Hospitality Industry” (2019) and “Guide to Marketing Your Business Online” (2015).
